Students Attend Legislative Day For Free -- Register by April 1

Legislative Day is a vehicle that allows pharmacy professionals to work with legislators to design policies and formulate an achievable and effective method for implementing a proactive approach to health care. In the complex world of health care, the exchange of information between legislators and practitioners is critical. Legislative Day is designed to break the barriers of communication and develop open dialogue between pharmacists and lawmakers.

At the end of Legislative Day, participants should be able to:

  • explain the objectives of the administration related to health care.
  • express the impact of the Department of Community Health proposed budget on healthcare delivery.
  • discuss the Bureau of Health Professions and Board of Pharmacy's objectives for the current fiscal year.

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.- Lunch with Members of the Senate and House Health Policy Committee

1-4 p.m.- Presentations Speakers include: Gregory J.
