Be sure to reserve Sept. 15 to attend MPA's Pharmacy Day at the Capitol. Student pharmacists play a key role in educating legislators on the value of the pharmacist. Volunteers have one-on-one time during wellness demonstrations with Michigan's lawmakers to discuss important pharmacy issues and provide expertise in the following areas:
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Cholesterol monitoring
- Immunizations
- Asthma inhaler usage
- Healthy lifestyle practices
For more information and to volunteer, contact Director of Governmental Affairs Greg Baran at (517) 377-0224.
